Before Thor took Loki back to Asgard, he was kept in a secure cell deep in SHIELD headquarters. There he waited for the Black Widow. Waited for her to come gloat, for her to return and try to trick more information out of him, or perhaps just waited to see her one last time, because he had never, ever met anyone who could match his silver tongue, and that deserved at least his admiration, if not his outright respect.

She never came.
